1. What is the most important issue in Council District 15 you would address if elected?
Education. NYC spends $58,000 a year per prisoner, but less than $15,000 on every public school student. It is time to invest in our schools!\plain\f1\fs20
Affordable Housing. Together we have been able to create more than 2,000 units of affordable housing. Yet, more must be done so that all families can find ways to better living.
2. What other important issues would you address if elected?
Obesity. I have taken a tough stand against rising levels of obesity, particularly among children. Obesity is a major public health crisis and we must fight to ensure that we continue to create better, healthier options for our communities.
3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?
1) Experience: For the past 8 years I have served as your City Council Member. I have the know-how in passing laws, working with the mayoral administration and getting things done for our community.
2) Track Record: Our office has solved thousands of constituent problems. Furthermore, in 8 years, I have helped secure millions of dollars for our district.
3) Commitment: For 8 years I have given my all for our district. For the next four, I will continue to fight for what our district deserves!
