1. What is the most important issue in Council District 18 you would address if elected?
The most important issue has been, and will continue to be, improving the community I've lived in my entire life. I want nothing more than to continue working for, and with, my community and to continue fighting for better access to health care, livable wages, quality education and affordable housing.
2. What other important issues would you address if elected?
I will continue to advocate for social justice, worker's rights, safer schools and a cleaner environment. I will continue to focus my efforts in the City Council towards ensuring that our libraries, community centers and local businesses flourish.
3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?
We are in the depths of a difficult and challenging time in our city's, and nation's, history. But, we are also in a time of great potential and great hope. As we see the effects of this unprecedented fiscal climate in our neighborhoods and in our own lives, I will remain focused on creating opportunity for people. I will continue to work to ensure that the building blocks of success - health, education and housing - are strengthened and remain affordable and accessible. I will continue to advocate for the hardworking people of my district and our great city so that they have every opportunity to realize their dreams and meet their goals.
