1. What is the most important issue in Council District 20 you would address if elected?
It concerns me that government continuously raises taxes which devastates small businesses and denies them the opportunity to grow and prosper. raising taxes cripples the middle class taxpayer and working families. As a businessman, I realize that reducing the tax burden and providing relief to small business is one of the most effective ways to stimulate the economy, create jobs and put people back to work. I will fight burdensome tax increases and eliminate waste in government. If government becomes more efficient, more responsible and more transparent, taxpayers hard earned dollars will be saved.
2. What other important issues would you address if elected?
It is urgent that we continue to make strides to improve education by giving children the necessary tools to succeed. We have seen a drop in crime, more can be done to make our streets safe, criminals should be punished to the full extent of the law and the Beat Office should be put back on patrol. Health care costs are exorbitant and crippling working families we must provide quality affordable health services for our citizens. Senior and Youth service programs are an absolute priority. Protecting Meals on Wheels, increasing Senior Center hours, retaining Youth Services, increasing after school programs and improving transportation are my goals when elected.
3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?
I've lived the American Dream working at Dunkin Donuts and KFC to pay for school. I continue to be actively involved in the district I seek to represent. I understand the needs of my community and my neighbors. I am an independent person who understands the problems caused by overreaching government and believes the need for real change is essential. Special interests ruins government, the people come first. I know how to empower people and get the job done.
