Democracy is not a spectator sport. We win only if we get in the game and vote. But too many New Yorkers are sitting out our elections; voter turnout is at rock bottom. The results? Gridlock in Washington. Scandal in Albany. We can do better than that.
It's time to get off the sidelines and get in the game. Take your democracy back. Learn about the candidates and find out where to cast your ballot. Make your voice heard. Vote on November 6th!
New Yorkers will still be voting on Tuesday November 6th. Due to damage from Hurricane Sandy, some poll sites have changed. Please verify your poll site by texting NYCVOTES to 877-877, using the BOE’s poll site locator, or check the list here.
If you are a voter displaced by Hurricane Sandy, you can now vote by affadavit ballot at ANY NYS poll site. However, only the presidential and US Senate races will appear on affadavit ballots. To vote in local races (State Senate, State Assembly), you must vote at your assigned poll site.
