NYC Votes Mobilizes for National Voter Registration Day with Events Across New York City

09/16/2024

September 16, 2024 —  This National Voter Registration Day, NYC Votes, an initiative of the NYC Campaign Finance Board, is meeting New Yorkers in their neighborhoods and ensuring they have the information they need to cast their ballot this fall. These events aim to break down the barriers that make voting difficult for New Yorkers in addition to equipping eligible voters with the resources they need to participate in our local democracy.

NYC Votes is partnering with TurboVote to make registering to vote for this upcoming election a seamless process. However, getting registered is only the first step in this process. NYC Votes wants to encourage every New Yorker to pledge and make a plan to vote in the upcoming general election, whether it’s early voting in-person, by mail, or on Election Day.

“This November is an opportunity to level up our culture of voting in NYC, with so many critical issues important to New Yorkers, including equal rights, on the ballot,” said Timothy Hunter, press secretary at the NYC Campaign Finance Board. “When more New Yorkers get involved – by voting, spreading the word, and running for office – we get closer to a truly representative government.”
