2018 State Primary Voter Guide

ABOUT THE VOTER GUIDE

Read about the candidates running in your district in the primary election on Thursday, September 13, 2018. The profiles and photos in this Guide were submitted to the CFB by the candidates.

You are eligible to vote in a party primary in your district if you are enrolled in that party.  If you are registered to vote, but not a member of any party, the Reform party permits you to vote in its primaries in your district.

To get started with this Guide, look up your party registration status here. Take note of your political party and state Assembly and Senate districts listed on the registration status page. Click below on your party and then locate your district(s). If there is no contest listed for your party and district, it means that there is no primary election for that office in your area.  To see your sample ballot, go here.

This Guide is produced by the New York City Campaign Finance Board (CFB) to help city voters make informed choices at the polls. The CFB creates an online Guide for every city election. This Guide lists all candidates who were expected to be on the ballot at the time of publication. The profiles and photos in this Guide were submitted to the CFB by the candidates, all of whom have affirmed that the information provided is true to the best of their knowledge. The views expressed in the candidate statements do not represent those of the CFB. Candidates without profile information or photos did not respond to our requests for participation or could not be reached.
