1. What is the most important issue in Council District 43 you would address if elected?

Creating jobs and economic growth. These are tough times, and I will fight to bring jobs to our city and our neighborhoods. We need Mom & Pop stores and all small businesses to thrive so they can generate new jobs and give others the same opportunities they gave people like me.

2. What other important issues would you address if elected?

Stop the harassment of local residents by Sanitation and Traffic cops. City government exists to benefit our citizens -- we do not exist just to provide the city income from parking and sanitation tickets.

We need to build a local YMCA. I will work to create other recreational programs for young people to keep them off the streets and out of trouble.

Protect our Senior Citizens. We have one of the largest concentrations of seniors in the nation, and I will fight to make sure that our seniors get the services and recreational programs they deserve.

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?

1. I've worked in the real world. I've been a teacher, supermarket manager, and sales manager. I understand what regular people go though each day. My opponent is a career politician who has held one government job or another his entire adult life.

2. I have a proven record of working across political party lines to get results. My #1 priority is people -- not partisan politics. And I'll work with Mayor Bloomberg. My opponent won't work with the Mayor, and that has really hurt our community.
