ISAAC M. SASSON
Isaac Sasson has a life-long dedication to public service and education, with a unique hands-on knowledge of the needs of his community. Isaac is a member of Community Board 7 for the past 5 years, president of his tenants association, and active in a number of Queens civic groups. Sasson will be a fighter on the Council against any tax increases and for cutting government waste, while maintaining and improving our quality of life.
Isaac Sasson has worked to strengthen rent-stabilization laws; successfully fought landlords in restoring services and cutting back rents; he has worked to prevent cutbacks in senior services and police protection; advocated for greater parental involvement and influence within local public schools; as an appointed member of CB7’s Health Committee Isaac has sought to insure compliance by local nursing homes with state and federal performance standard.
Sasson on the City Council will fight for legislation to reduce rent for seniors and the disabled, extend and enhance protection for all tenants, lessen taxes for low-income senior home owners and expand the EPIC Pharmaceutical program. Sasson will work to improve the quality of life and community.
As your Council representative, Isaac will introduce legislation requiring HMOs to appear and testify twice annually regarding healthcare delivery to our district residents.
