1. What is the most important issue in Council District 28 you would address if elected?
The most important issue is Predatory Lending along and the every increasing foreclosure rate. This has contributed to an increase in the crime rate and a decline in the quality of life in our community.
2. What other important issues would you address if elected?
I WILL FIGHT TO ELIMINATE WASTE IN OUR CITY GOVERNMENT AGENCIES AND BUDGET, GET OUR FAIR SHARE OF CITY SERVICES AND BUDGET DOLLARS, GET MORE TRAINING PROGRAMS AND JOB OPPORTUNITIES, GET ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR SENIOR CITIZENS AND SENIOR ACTIVITIES, GET ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS AND YOUTH ACTIVITIES, ENSURE OUR STUDENTS ARE WELL EQUIPPED IN THE CLASSROOMS TO COMPETE WITH OTHER STUDENTS, GET MORE AFFORABLE LOW AND MIDDLE INCOME HOUSING, GET BETTER RELATIONS WITH OUR POLICE AGENCIES, OBTAIN AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE, OBTAIN ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE GUN BUY BACK PROGRAM, OBTAIN BETTER BUS AND TRAIN SERVICES
3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?
By virtue of my experience and more than 40 years of community service to District 28, I am running for the City Council to address the aforementioned issues and to restore honesty, integrity and respect to our City Council District Office. Our district is very diverse, I have outstanding track record of working across all ethnic and geographic divides in this district. I promise to bring government closer to you by establishing a Mobile City Council District Office. In closing I would like to say, "You have tried all of the rest, why not try the best."
